Friley Windows is currently under construction and will open in August 2017.
Alums likely have memories of dining in Friley--both "Windows" and "Dungeons." The former Friley Dining center closed in 2003 when the Union Drive Community Center opened. We're excited to bring Friley Windows dining center back to Iowa State. The space will be completely renovated with station-style service and a relaxed atmosphere for students to dine, hang out and study.
Students will experience international flavors, home style foods, comfort foods, homemade pizzas, vegetarian and vegan items as well as a salad bar, homemade ice cream and a dessert bar. With the main entrance to the east and the secondary entrance in Friley Hall, Friley Windows will be a convenient location for breakfast, lunch, dinner, late night and every time in between as the dining center will be open continuously throughout the day.
Construction will take place from October through August 2017. To ensure the dining center opens on time to serve students, contractors will be working:
- WEEKDAYS: 8 am to 8 pm
- WEEKENDS: 9 am to 8 pm
We do apologize for the inconvenience the noise may cause at times and thank you in advance for your understanding as we work to build a new facility to serve you.
Check out the renderings below and we'll see you in August!
